In 2021, early-stage deals are at a 7-year low as a percentage of total Silicon Valley deals.

The total funding figures get the headlines, but are investors "mortgaging the future" by doing fewer early-stage deals?

Interestingly, while SV's share of early-stage deals is on the decline, China’s early-stage deal share is rebounding.
