A Christmas Message for StockTips Subscribers
During the holidays we gather with our families & enjoy the company of our loved ones. We see the joy in the eyes of our children, we see the pride in the eyes of our parents, we reflect upon the happiness of family togetherness, & catch up on old times with good friends. The holidays are a time where we truly see the reason we trade & invest. We do this to provide financial growth & security to our loved ones. We do this to bring comfort to our families. Having spent many Christmases overseas away from home & family over the years, longing to be home with my loved ones for nothing more than a nice Christmas dinner & the company of familiar faces, I understand more than most the magic of the holiday season. Indeed those who are unable to be home for the holidays are less likely to take them for granted. However spending so many Christmases overseas has also taught me the importance of humility, charity, empathy, & understanding. You see, I’ve been to countries where war, poverty, illness, hunger, & homelessness are the norm, not the exception. And as I look at my own children this season & reflect upon how truly lucky I am to have the ability to feed my family, put a roof over their heads, & bring a smile to their faces with a gift on Christmas Day, my thoughts continue to drift to those without. Spending the holidays home for once, with what I’ve seen of the world, is therefore always bitter sweet. Desperately striving to serve humanity in a world torn apart while overseas in the armed services lead me to tirelessly commit to an ethos of “failure is not an option.” Too many people, I thought, depend on what we do. Success or failure in our mission would directly affect the lives of the people who’s lands we served in. And while these people are far from Christian themselves, my fond memories of Christmases past led me to wish the same joy & happiness to those whose lands we occupied … because at the end of the day all people want for their families what we have for ours … what I have for mine. To great personal sadness this seems less possible today as a result of our withdrawal, however I will never regret the exhaustive hours I spent as an infantryman & an analyst that translated to substantive positive results on both the battlespace & the civilian population. This Christmas however I must turn my energies to what I can affect, which is diligently striving to give you the same “failure is not an option” ethos in the form of securities analysis pursuant to actionable idea generation that leads to financially advancing you & yours. And though there is little chance that I will ever see the smiles of those we worked tirelessly to protect in my previous career, I will be damned if I won’t bust my ass in an effort to help bring the comfort of financial independence to my subscribers. It is in this way I hope to serve in a manner that brings smiles & comfort to others today. And as I reset, recharge, & refocus with family this Christmas Day, know that my thoughts are drifting back to you & yours as well. As you move forward in your investing journey remember this Christmas Day how much is riding on your sound judgement, decision making, & diligence. Remember that there are people in the world who don’t have the benefit of advancing their situation in life through investing/trading. Remember that you live in a wonderful country where saving & growing your money is possible. And most of all, don’t squander the opportunity on overly risky investment strategies, naked options, or “all in” plays. I will do my damndest to provide you with relatively safe reliably profitable companies trading at a sector/industry relative value, on a pullback of little to no consequence, coveted by institutions, & primed for growth as assessed under favorable economic conditions… all while carrying a “failure is not an option” attitude toward my research. May my efforts bring value to you & enable you to bring smiles & comfort to your families for many Christmases to come! Merry Christmas, God Bless, & Safe Trading!
