What should they be?
A pattern that comes up again and again in Wynter tests for B2B SaaS websites: people only want to see screenshots/actual pictures of the tool.
They're looking to understand what it is. "Just show me the software!" is a common cry.
What they don't wanna see is graphics/cartoon people/illustrations that don't add specificity or clarity about the software. The point of any imagery/graphics is to help communicate the message, nothing else.
I get the brand feel argument, but that should never come at the expense of clarity.
