This is an example of how NOT to make a billboard.

I’ve passed this billboard 100+ times and never noticed. I only spotted it this time because I was filling up gas 30 feet away and had time to look around.

Even up close I had to think about what this ad was for. For a moment I saw the picture of the smiling lady and "free first exam" and assumed it was for a human medical clinic, or it was a student prep service.

Here's the billboard on it’s own without markup:

There’s so many better ways this billboard could’ve been presented that would've drawn in more people, making their money better spent!

Like these basic vet care templates:

Thought:

I've always wondered how much money is wasted by companies buying retargeting ads even after you’ve bought their product πŸ€”

For example, I recently bought this set of adjustable dumbbells:

...and a week later I'm still seeing ads for it everyyyywwhheeree I go on the internet! These are retargeting ads I've seen through Facebook, Instagram, and the Google Ad Network:

This means I'm being "re-targeted" and this company is paying good money to show me these ads!

I wonder how much money they've wasted on me, even though I've already purchased πŸ€”

Uplifting

I've been doing my best to keep a queue of books at all times.

I saw this neat image on "How to Read More (books)" which I totally agree with:

The last 3 books I've read through kept me going all the way through:
β€’ Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir
β€’ The Setup by Dan Bilzerian
β€’ Daemon by Daniel Suarez

But sometimes it's kind of hard to make your way alllll the way through a book unless it's really grabbing.

I started keeping a list on my Apple Notes of all the recommendations people send me, so I can constantly have a "next book" to look forward to!

Picture:

I'll sometimes miss a window in the day to hit the gym, and I always think "I'll just do a workout at home" but it always ends up being the lamest workout ever πŸ˜‚

So I've finally decided I need a garage gym.

So far I've only got a barbell and some plates...but I've got rubber floor mats, a bench, and some adjustable dumbbells (mentioned above) coming:

Checkout the sweet star projector on the ceiling 😏

Since all the walls are painted in chalkboard paint, I can write on the walls, so I wrote out all my workouts on there.

I used to have to reference them on my phone each time, but this makes it easier:

I'll post more updated about the garage gym when in ~2 weeks all the stuff should be here!

πŸ’ͺ🏼

Interesting:

Comedian Sam Morril's YouTube channel went from 5,000 subscribers in October 2021.....to 140,000 subscribers 4 months later.

The main change:
He started posting a YouTube Short nearly every single day.

He posts a 15 second to 60 second clip of his jokes everyday.

Look at these insane results:

Sam Morril's YouTube Channel Stats

He's also done the same on other channels like Instagram and TikTok, and it's absolutely crushing.

He's been posting every single day in addition to being a really funny comedian. It's awesome to see that growth happen so quick!

Drawing:

Remember I was talking about my garage having chalkboard paint over the whole thing?

Well I started using that to not only draw on for fun....but also film videos:

For example I was making a video about "The Slippery Slope" concept, and I filmed it in the garage:

The chalkboard paint walls with drawings and lessons

Filming videos with the wall

I kind of have to draw "between" the other drawings

Now the garage can function as a garage, a home gym, and also a video studio :-)

Hope you enjoyed these little tidbits, have a happy Friday!

Sincerely,
Neville Medhora -
