If you’re anything like me, you hate replacing perfectly good laptops and smartphones. Why go through all the effort of setting up a new device when you’re comfortable with what you already have?

But the problem, sooner or later, always comes down to the battery. Suddenly that laptop is a “desktop” because you can’t take it away from the plug without it dying five minutes later. Why are do the batteries in your gadgets stop working? And what can you do to prevent that problem? We’ll get into it in the top story.

Other Highlights:

  • Wordle fans, have I got a treat for you. Are you banging your head against the wall trying to figure out today’s word? Did you never figure out the word yesterday or last week? We put together a special page because we felt the pain too. Head over to Today’s Wordle Answers, and we’ll not only give you hints at today’s word, but we’ll also give you the answer if you really need to know. Don’t worry; we hid the solution behind a spoiler button. And we have the entire history of every Wordle puzzle. I know! What can I say? We love our loyal readers.
  • Do you know what’s fun to watch? A Tesla drag race a Lucid Air Dream EV. Do you know what’s not as fun? Listening to EVs drag race.
  • Yeesh, finally. Apple seems to be working on a version of FaceID that works while you’re wearing a mask.
  • Hey, it looks like SpaceX will be the first company to reach the moon…by accident. Whoops.
  • …and more!

-Josh
