Tip of the Day

If you’ve scrubbed your stainless steel sink clean but it just doesn’t have that shine you’re looking for, you can sprinkle flour liberally over it and buff it with a soft rag until it does.

Happy Wednesday, LifeSavviers! You’re already at the halfway point of the workweek—go you!

Today we’re serving up waffles with some delicious toppings you’ve just got to try. After that, it’s time to head to the sink and brush those pearly whites. Now, of course, all of us do this every day (and hopefully, not just in the morning). However, did you know that rinsing after you brush might not be the best idea? Yeah, neither did I.

But, hey, skipping the rinse should give you just enough time to drag that footbath out from under the sink. Then, tonight when you get home, we’ll walk you through all the steps to give yourself a nice, relaxing pedicure. Just think of how much cash you’ll save if you don’t have to head to the salon every time those toes need some TLC.

All this talk about feet is actually the perfect transition into our water cooler trivia for the day. The practice of foot care—and pedicures, in particular—dates back thousands of years. Those trend-setters, the Ancient Egyptians, were taking special care of their legs and feet as far back as 2400 B.C. Of course, it appears they did go barefoot year-round, so no wonder they needed to hit the foot spa on the reg.
