How to Track a "Batch" of Articles in Google Analytics?

Have you ever published a batch of articles and wondered how that specific batch of articles are performing?

The problem is that Google Analytics doesn't really allow you to track a subset of articles very easily. You can see how all your articles are performing, or you can click on individual articles.

But what if you have 20, 50, or 100+ that you want to view separately from all the other articles on your website?

Today, I'm going to share a simply Google Analytics custom report that will allow you to track a batch of articles!

I learned how to do this a little over a year ago, and it now allows me to more easily see how my new articles are performing.

For example, I'm currently tracking performance for articles written in 2022. But you could track any group of articles you want.

(I could also view the total traffic going to this batch of articles, but this shows only the organic traffic, mostly from Google).

You have to create a custom report, use regex, and manually input each URL you want to track. See the image for how I set up the custom report.
