The State of Switch 2022

Hi folks, Chris here with issue #275 of Switch Weekly — your update on the week in Nintendo.

The State of Switch survey results for 2022 are now live, and as promised you're the first to know. I've spent all my spare time over the past month diving into the results, compiling all the data, and fighting off Covid (yep, it finally got me), to bring you this extensive write up of what folks think about Nintendo's much-loved hybrid machine now it's been with us for half a decade. You can read the results in full here. Of course if you've got any feedback, comments, or thoughts on the results then I'm all ears — I'd love to hear from you — just hit reply to this email.

(A quick little PSA: Are you new here? Just getting this email to see the survey results? Well, consider this email your notification. If you'd rather not get future issues in your inbox you can unsubscribe in one tap here — however why not stick around and give my weekly newsletter a shot? If you want to give it a go, just tap here — I'l then I'll check back in with you after a few issues to see if you still want to get it. If you're happy to give it a go without me checking in, you don't need to do anything — welcome to the club ๐Ÿ˜Ž.)

Kirby landed a few days ago and the reviews seem really positive. I'm thrilled to see a few comparisons to Mario Odyssey too as it seems there are a few parallels to be drawn between the two, and that's good company to keep. I've not grabbed a copy yet, but it's now high on my list. Plenty of Kirby links to read through below.

Moving on to the week ahead, and we've got just over 20 games coming to the Switch — some interesting looking titles in the mix. The full list is below as ever.

That's all from me. Wishing you all a great week.

Thank you for supporting the newsletter, and I'll catch you next time.

Cheers โœŒ๏ธ

REVIEW Kirby and the Forgotten Land —"isn’t just a mere leap into the third dimension, but more of a behemoth pole vault. It packs a massive punch for 3D-platformer fans, and has the same level of excellence, polish, and charm as a mainline Mario title". I enjoyed this review from Eurogamer's Martin Robinson too.
