Starting a new job or role can be one of the most exciting, exhilarating — and sometimes stress-inducing — things we do in our career. In the midst of this Great Reshuffle, I know a lot of you are in that boat (or were very recently, or will be soon!).

Truth: You worked really hard to get here. So whether you’re attending orientations or sending that “I got a promotion!” update on LinkedIn, don’t forget to take some time to celebrate yourself. Pace yourself, continue to practice self-care, and think about how you can not just survive in your role, but thrive in your role — new or not!

For example: How will you build relationships as you ramp up? What boundaries will help you protect your time, energy, and purpose? What additional support do you need as you learn the company or role?

These questions — and all the resources below — will help you position yourself for success beyond your tenure as the newbie on the block.
