How to Sell SEO: Improve Your Pitch to Close More Sales

Fraser McCulloch

Here’s how to improve your pitch:

  1. Show results to establish credibility – You can do this by showing traffic or links earned with screenshots, showing before and after results, and acquiring client testimonials.

  2. Find and qualify prospects – Find prospects using inbound and outbound marketing, then qualify them using the right questions.

  3. Pitch outcomes in discovery sessions

  4. Follow up with a one-page proposal – Create a copy of the proposal here.

  5. Close – Use our SEO contract template proposal to do this.

How to Create SEO SOPs to Scale Organic Traffic

Bill Widmer

Standard operating procedures make your work faster, easier, and more scalable. Here are the five most critical SEO tasks that should have SOPs:

  1. Content creation and on-page SEO

  2. Internal linking procedures

  3. Image optimization

  4. Email outreach for link building

  5. Tracking your rankings and making updates

How to Create Relevant Content That Ranks

Si Quan Ong

Google determines the relevance of content in a variety of ways:

  1. Does your page mention the search query?

  2. Does it mention related things?

  3. Do searchers seem to find it useful?

When you understand the above, you can create relevant content. Here’s how:

  1. Do keyword research – Relevance is specific to each query. So before you can create relevant content, you need to make sure you have keywords you want to target.

  2. Figure out search intent

  3. Cover everything the searcher wants to know

Google Search Quality Rater Guidelines Update: What Has Changed

Article

The most significant overhauls were to Google’s definitions of YMYL (Your Money, Your Life) and the extent to which E-A-T matters as a matter of page quality.

Google provided new, clear definitions for what it means for content to be YMYL, mostly framed around the extent to which the content can cause harm to individuals or society. Google also provided a new table establishing clear examples of what it means for content to be YMYL or not.

Till next time ;)
