7 strategies to make bank sending emails to your list

1. Use personalized content.

When it comes to emails, your content is the vehicle for conversions.

To improve those conversions, personalize your content.

A few ways you can do that are by:

- write less formal copy
- use humor
- be relevant

Creating personalized content ensures that your customer looks forward to interacting with your emails.

You become a friend they can turn to when they need a product you offer.


2. Personalize your sender details

For example, instead of having your sender name as ‘BRAND’ and sending it from the ‘marketing@company.com’ email address your emails with your name and send it from ‘joe@company.com’


3. Send "milestone" emails

Example: Hey

[First Name]! You’re one purchase away from becoming a VIP member of BRAND.

Keep on purchasing and unlock unbelievable rewards.

[Product block]

[Social proof]

CTA: become a VIP now!


4. send "because you opened" emails

Example:

Hey [First_name]!

Just because you’re a loyal reader who opened our last five emails, we want to reward you with 15% OFF.

5. Segmented offers

A well-targeted, personalized special offer can improve click-through rates by 14%.

You can use segmented data to produce a series of offers aimed at particular customer segments.

Ex: - you can send an offer on children’s clothes to those subscribers who have previously bought children’s clothes or toys in the last 6 months.

-Or you could target a men’s clothing discount to only the men on your list.


6. Set up high converting flows such as:

- Abandoned cart
- Welcome series
- Post-purchase
- Winback flow
- Bounce-back flow
- Cross-sell/upsell flow
- Browse abandonment flow

7. Ask for people's first names and use them on your subject lines This will get you better open rates more attention to your offer = more sales

Beyond remembering your subscriber’s name

You can add another level of personalization by remembering essential dates in their journey with you.

These could be anything from their birthday or your anniversary together.
