TikTok Sounds Library

In an experiment with a small number of users in Australia, TikTok is limiting the number of songs users can post on its app and restricting the use of certain songs. 

The test is designed to help the platform understand whether music is core to its users’ experiences and could impact the percentage of advertising revenue that is paid to music rights holders.
