I want you to meet The Cultural Tutor. Simply put, he has the fastest-growing Twitter following I’ve ever seen. You may have seen his popular tweets on the importance of beauty or his introduction to Impressionism.

Here’s the story of how we met...

Before I was introduced to The Cultural Tutor, I'd followed him on Twitter for a few weeks. He started writing in May 2022, and today, he has over 1.3 million followers — with Elon Musk as one of them.

I was talking with Write of Passage’s Editor In Chief, Michael Dean, about how much we both like The Cultural Tutor’s writing and why he has such a strong Personal Monopoly. Two hours later, my friend Harry Dry replied to one of the Cultural Tutor’s tweets, saying, "Proud of you, brother."

Intrigued, I texted my talented, savvy, and down-to-earth friend Harry and said: "Do you know him?" Harry responded: "Yep, he's my best friend!"

Harry was so excited when I reached out that he sent me a long message on WhatsApp telling me about The Cultural Tutor.

Here's what Harry told me...

Six weeks before sharing the tweet above, The Cultural Tutor was working at McDonald's! For over a decade, he's spent his free time reading and learning about western culture. He’s obsessed with poetry, classical music, architecture, history, and beauty. His friends think he’s weird. But he’s obsessed, so he keeps on going.

Harry saw that he was struggling and reached out to him. He told him to quit McDonald's and come to London so they could work together. During that time, Harry told him to start a Twitter account and write two threads per day about all the things he'd been reading about. They did hill sprints in the morning and worked for the rest of the day.

The Cultural Tutor currently lives in Durham, writing Twitter threads all day. Insane! Harry said: "Six weeks ago, he rolled up to my door in London looking scruffy as hell, and now he's got more than 250,000 Twitter followers."

Mind you, a year later, he now has 1.3 million followers.
