Trevor McKendrick - The Last Lion

Hi all,

Happy May!

Trevor

The Last Lion (Winston Churchill biography)

I’m 70% through the 2nd volume and I’m gonna call it that this is worth reading.

This volume talks about the years Churchill was “alone” – basically warning Britain for 10 years that war was coming and they should prepare, and being ostracized in Parliament the entire time because of it.

It’s fascinating to watch him go from an untouchable to the Prime Minister within a year.

Biographies are probably my favorite genre of book. It makes history very easy to learn because it comes as a story.

(Credit for the book recommendation goes to Taylor Pearson – thank you!)

Beef (Netflix show)

First 2 episodes are good!

Ground to air rescue fly by using skyhook to pick up people without landing (tweet)

Quick video in the tweet… I’d have assumed this was impossible to do w/o seriously injuring the person.

Tuple (pair programming software)

So much better than Zoom…
