I just uncovered insightful statistics in the American Express® Global Customer Service Barometer (a survey conducted in the U.S. and 9 other countries exploring attitudes and preferences toward customer service):

1. Customers tell an average of 9 people about good customer service.
2. BUT customers tell almost twice as many (16 people) about poor customer service.
