Alex Turnbull from Groove shared how they convert blog readers into trial signups.

1. First they convert blog readers into email subscribers via:
a) eBook giveaways (1-1.5% conversion rate)
b) stuck to the top opt-in form (1%)
c) giveaway contests [a bundle of books] (9.8%)
d) scroll-up box that appears as the reader approaches the end of the post (1.4%)

2. Once they capture your email - they send you a series of emails with some of their most valuable content.

3. After a few emails, they send a message explaining what their paid service is about, and an offer to give it a try. It converts at a rate of 3.7%.
