Thrasio was one of the biggest Amazon aggregators during the pandemic. So how did it manage to lose billions of dollars in an e-commerce boom?

Its unsecured creditors say it’s because of “possible self-dealing, gross negligence, mismanagement, and breach of their fiduciary duties.”

This is why they’re asking the court to give them time to look at the company’s books before it concludes the Chapter 11 bankruptcy case.

Thrasio, on the other hand, attributes the losses to hiring too many employees, taking on too much debt to fund expansion and buying too much merchandise.
