It doesn’t matter how great your email marketing content is if no one opens your emails. Your subject line is critical to whether consumers open your email. How strong are your subject lines?

No-Cost Subject Line Analysis

The website SubjectLine uses customer data from 6 billion emails sent annually to score your subject line and show how strong or weak it is and where to make adjustments to meet industry standards.

You’ll also get eight rewritten versions to consider!

Today's tip is inspired by Jay Schwedelson, a featured guest on the Social Media Marketing Podcast.

Marketing Challenges? Here’s a Better Way…

If you’re seeking change, consider the Social Media Marketing Society.

Since 2015, Society members have evolved their strategies, improved their results, and thrived through challenging times.

I've been a member for over 5 years. I could never be where I am without the Society,” said Suzanne Feinberg.

When you become part of our welcoming community, you discover new ideas, your confidence improves, and you become more valuable to your company or clients.

Find out why over 1,000 marketers consider the Society their “home.”

Yes! I’m ready for a better way.

How to Organize Ideas and Unlock Your Creative Output

How often do you get a spark of inspiration from the sea of articles, social media posts, podcasts, and videos you consume each day? And how often do you lose that spark?

Use This System to Capture and Act on Your Creative Ideas

First, whenever you come across something interesting, useful, or inspiring, write it down in a digital note-taking app like Evernote, Notion, or Apple Notes.

The real trick is to be discerning in what you capture. Don't attempt to capture every single thing that crosses your path. Instead, rely on your instincts and capture the ideas that truly resonate with you.

Once you've captured your ideas, it's time to organize them by:

Projects: These could be work projects, personal projects, or anything with a specific goal and timeline. Create a separate folder or tag for each project, and add any relevant notes to that folder.

Areas of Responsibility: These are the different roles and responsibilities you have in your life, such as your job, your family, your health, or your personal growth. Add any notes that relate to these areas to their respective folders.

Resources: Resources are for anything you're learning about or interested in but that doesn't necessarily relate to a specific project or area of responsibility. This could include topics like psychology, marketing, or creativity. Create folders or tags for these topics and add relevant notes.

Archives: Finally, create an archive folder to hold completed projects, old ideas, or anything else you don't need to refer to regularly. By keeping your archive separate from your active notes, you can reduce clutter and make it easier to find what you need.

Distill the Main Points

The next step is highlighting each note's key points, takeaways, or lessons.

This will take some time and effort, so instead of distilling every note you capture, focus on the notes most relevant to your current projects or goals. When you sit down to work on a project, take a few minutes to review your related notes and highlight the most important points. This will help you get back up to speed quickly and ensure you're making the most of your collected information.

Put Your Ideas Into Action

The final step is to create something new and valuable.

When writing an email, creating a presentation, or working on a project, turn to your digital notes. Instead of starting from scratch or relying on your memory, you'll have a rich collection of ideas and insights to draw from. This can make expressing yourself much easier and more efficient, as you don't have to spend as much time brainstorming or researching.

Having a second brain to reference can also help you feel more focused and creative. Knowing you have a trusted system for capturing and organizing your ideas allows you to think more deeply and explore new possibilities. You may develop more original ideas or make connections that you wouldn't have otherwise.

Today's advice is provided with insights from Tiago Forte.

🗞 Meta’s AI-Powered Instagram Search Bar: Meta is currently testing the integration of its generative AI-powered Meta AI chatbot into the Instagram search bar, allowing users to engage in conversations and discover new content. When users type a query into the search bar, they are directed to a conversation in their DMs with Meta AI, where they can ask questions or use pre-loaded prompts. Additionally, Meta AI can help users discover new content on Instagram, such as Reels, by tapping on prompts like "Beautiful Maui sunset Reels." Meta stated that its generative AI-powered experiences are under development in varying phases and are being tested publicly in a limited capacity. Source: TechCrunch

🗞 TikTok Ads Controls: TikTok has introduced three new brand suitability innovations to give advertisers more control over where their ads appear on the platform's For You feed. These innovations include Category Exclusion, which allows advertisers to control whether their ads run next to four non-standard categories: Gambling & Lotteries, Violent Video Games, Combat Sports, and Youth Content; and Vertical Sensitivity, which enables advertisers to exclude vertical-related content that may not align with their brand positioning. TikTok has also launched a unified Brand Safety Hub in TikTok Ads Manager, providing advertisers with a streamlined workflow to define brand safety and suitability settings at the account level. 🗞 TikTok’s AI Influencer Tool: The platform is developing a new feature that will allow brands to create AI-generated virtual influencers to promote their products through videos and live streams within the app. According to The Information, the feature, which is still in development, would generate a script for a video ad based on a prompt submitted by the advertiser and create an AI-generated influencer to perform in the video. Additionally, TikTok Shop merchants would have the ability to use the AI influencer tool to promote their products. Source: Social Media Today
