You might think you'll get cancelled if you copy stuff from other people.

And you're probably right IF you just blatently copy from others and don't mention the author.

You can get burned harder too if you use copyrighted material in your ads. Artists and brands have armies of automated spiders searching for pirated intellectual property. So be careful.

But here's how you should copy and why:

The copying you should do is called: taking inspiration from other creators.

If I say (sing): "I'm looking for a guy in finance, trust fund, 6"5', blue eyes. Finance"

You should immediately know what I'm talking (singing) about (if you don't, pls unsubscribe from this email).

You could not have missed these lyrics. She even asked to be "used" in a song. 

Thousands of creators took inspiration from those lyrics, created songs, created memes and created banger songs. (Here's my favorite)

And no, you don't need to be a musician to do this.

You need to see something that gets you vibin' and that makes you think: I can do something with this. I can give my own twist to this Tweet, Image, Meme, Sound. You name it.

The best thing? It makes content creation so much easier. And the more reps you do, the better you get. (Talent is overrated. Reps are underrated)

So go find your inspiration. Copy the shit out of it (in a positive non-rip-off way) and enjoy the ride.

In a recent presentation, Instagram’s team said that Reels longer than 90 seconds can hurt your distribution.

However, last week, the same team posted a tutorial about the advantages of Reels longer than 90 seconds.

So, which is it? Are longer Reels a ‘do’ or a ‘don’t’? Here's the explanation from Instagram's team:

"You can post a video over 90 seconds on IG, just remember that any video over 90 seconds won’t be eligible to be recommended in Explore or Reels Tab."

YouTube has revamped the Inspiration tab, within YouTube Studio analytics, and added AI features to it.

Creator will be able to use it to receive recommendations for new video ideas.

This new Inspiration tab is not yet available for creators in EU, the UK, Switzerland, and India, but they should get access soon.
