Social Media Examiner - AI Explored: An experiment's success…

"The experiment was a success," I explained to my leadership team on Tuesday.

We can now execute the next part of our plan.

Less than two months ago, we tried something new—something that might not have worked.

We only had a few months to go from idea to execution.

I faced a whole lot of internal resistance. I've failed at so many things.

And that resulted in wasted time, costly investments, and dangerous distractions.

But this time was different.

When I launched the AI Explored podcast on May 14th, I knew the marketing world was hungry to learn about how to put AI to work.

I just didn't know if people would love the idea of a new show.

We had a goal of getting 1K listeners to every episode for twelve weeks.

Getting that many listeners to join me weekly for 45 minutes was no small task.

And to make matters worse, we launched during the end of school season and the summer months where there are lots of distractions.

Well, it worked!

Here are the numbers: We've had more than 18K downloads on those first seven shows!

And each week the numbers get stronger.

And that doesn't count the new YouTube channel, which adds another 4K views.

I presented the data to my team, along with the reviews like this:

"Mind-blowing content. This will explode fast. Of course, Michael has the Midas touch. After all, it's Social Media Examiner. A friend shared this with me. I'm subscribing. Will also share," said Rene Godefroy.

I called it a very clear success.

There's no reason to wait until episode twelve to call this experiment a win.

However, I do not have the Midas touch.

And it's not just because my company has a loyal following that this is working.

If that were true, then all my other failed experiments would have been successful as well.

Instead, the reason this is working so well is because of a few factors.

1️⃣ There's market demand: When people are hungry for something, there always exists opportunities. But demand alone is not enough.

2️⃣ There's a lack of supply: When people don't have a lot of choices—and there's demand—they'll flock to what's available.

Whenever these two things happen in any industry, there's opportunity for smart entrepreneurs and content creators to make a name for themselves.

This emerging marketplace is in its mass growth phase.

There are a lot of content creators jumping in literally right now.

Only the quality creators will last.

And they'll need a plan.

I have a plan.

I hope you'll join me for the journey.
