The Forty-Five - These band facemasks are good

View this email in your browser
Hello,

Lots going on this week. In The Forty-Five land, we shot our first IRL cover of the year. Keep your eyes peeled for that on Wednesday.

Live streams have really upped their game in recent weeks. In a quick Twitter poll, 77% of you said you would be willing to pay to watch one (if the production was good enough). Elsewhere, the Virgin Money Unity Arena – AKA the UK's first socially-distanced venue – opened its gates for the first time for a show with Sam Fender. Do you think it looks like fun?

Here's some weekend reading for you.
GETTING DOWN AND WEEDY WITH BRIGHT EYES
Marianne Eloise meets the band as they prepare to release their first album in nine years, the aptly-for-these-times-titled 'Down In The Weeds, Where The World Once Was'. Read the interview.
BEST BAND MASKS
Stay safe and rep your favourite band at the same time. It's win, win!
WAP FEVER
Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion's hella sexy new single 'WAP' has been the major talking point of the week. Jenessa Williams breaks down the conversation in this week's SUBTWEETS.
NEW TUNES
Lots of new additions to our absolutely-must-follow playlists:
- GUITAR MUSIC IS ALIVE! ft. The Cribs comeback + new IDLES
- BRAND NEW ft. Omar Apollo, Riches and more!
- K-POPPING OFF ft. TREASURE, Taemin and Cherry Bullet
- WOMEN OF RAP ft. of course, Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion
