Laura Jane Grace surprises us all PLUS more innovations in livestreaming

Hello,

Last night team Forty-Five attended one of an increasing amount of innovative, COVID-friendly gigs. To mark the launch of their new album, Working Men's Club recorded a live performance at a subterranean warehouse space in Manchester which was then screened at a number of locations around the country. Fans gathered (responsibly) to enjoy a drink and watch the set. It was pretty vibey!

With COVID on the rise and the music industry on its knees, this week saw the launch of a campaign called #wemakeevents to help support all of those in the live events industries who have lost their livelihood and are being offered little help from the government. If you can afford to, buy merch, help fundraise and find out other ways you can support.
SURPRISE!
Against Me!'s Laura Jane Grace dropped a surprise, beautifully pared back solo album on Thursday. Eve Barlow caught up with her to get the story behind 'Save Me.'
NEW TUNES!
45s of the week include a new solo track from The XX's Romy Madeley Croft, the return of Goat Girl and Gorillaz featuring Elton John. What a treat!
NAME A MORE ICONIC DUO
In case you missed it, we sat in on a very fun chat between actual Spice Girl Mel C and alt-pop icon, Shura. They talk about gender fluidity, the Spicies legacy and forming an epic new girl gang that we want in on.
HAS PUNK LOST ITS WAY?
Grace Almond explores the punk of today and how its inability to embrace diversity within the culture is at odds with its spirit.
K-POP LEADS THE WAY AGAIN
South Korea are breaking streaming boundaries, with innovative virtual gigs that are exciting both fans and artists. Rhian Daly speaks to those involved.
