🔥 Hot Tip of the Week
How will social media marketing change in 2021? What are social media experts predicting for the year ahead? 📈
In a recent report, Talkwalker and Hubspot interviewed industry leaders, experts, and influencers about their thoughts and predictions for the year ahead. We've outlined a few of the 10 social media trends below and have added our own tips on how you can ride the 2021 social media trends wave. 🌊
Trend 1️⃣: Audiences are now more aware of global issues, and how brands tackle them. Tip 1️⃣: Modern consumers expect more transparency and authenticity from brands, so, brands should strive to be authentic, honest, and conscientious. Brands should also strive to focus on thinking about how they could be a benefit to society. There’s a really big opportunity right now to capture the audience that is starting to really care about what businesses do beyond that product.
Trend 2️⃣: Old school marketing will be the new "new," with 55% of Americans now listening to podcasts. Tip 2️⃣: Craft content that your audience would actually consume, and that would entertain, educate, and delight them. Consider producing a podcast, newsletter, or webinar to build connections with your audience instead of diving into high-value video production.
Trend 3️⃣: Conversational marketing will drive sales. Tip 3️⃣: Reveal the human side of your brand, respond to comments in a timely manner, and think of posts as conversation starters.
Trend 4️⃣: Messaging will be more memetic. Tip 4️⃣: When replying to DMs and messages, send a meme instead of an emoji. And, next time you post on Twitter, consider sharing a user-generated meme.
What are your social media predictions for the year ahead? Feel free to reply to this tweet with your thoughts, we'd love to hear from you!👂❤️
