The Forty-Five - A list of great bands, for Adam Levine

View this email in your browser
Hello,

I know we say this a lot, but this week really has been huge for new tunes. We've had the much-teased collab. from Charli XCX, No Rome and The 1975, the return of a very sleazy St Vincent, Drake dropped an EP and India Jordan gave us hope for a ravey summer with new track, 'And Groove'. Check out all these and more in our 45s of the week and BRAND NEW playlist.
I AM CLICHE
There's a new film out about trailblazing punk icon, Poly Styrene, who has influenced everyone from FKA twigs to Bikini Kill. Leonie Cooper revisits her story: one of defiance and individuality, for this week's column.
NON FUNGIBLE WHAT NOW?
As Kings of Leon release their new album, 'When You See Yourself', as an NFT or "non-fungible token", we ask an expert what exactly that means and how it could change the way we buy music.
HEY ADAM LEVINE, THERE ARE LITERALLY LOADS OF GREAT BANDS
That dude from Maroon 5 said this week that "there are no bands anymore". We decided to put together this non-exhaustive list of some great bands for him to check out – a task that was really not hard.
ZARA LARSSON REALLY LOVES LOVE
Stream Queen, Zara Larsson's new album 'Poster Girl' was out yesterday. Jemima Skala met her to talk about love, misogyny in music and why even pop idols don't always have everything figured out. Read the interview.

SUMMER OF FUN
Following last week's news that we might be free of COVID restrictions by June 21st, tickets are going very, very fast to all events in the latter part of the summer. We've rounded up some fun things to do, on sale now.
