How well is the content that I ordered for review purposes performing?

Over the past few months, I’ve ordered a number of articles from various content agencies to test out their ordering process and the quality of their content.

I thought it would be fun to check in on these articles and see how they’re performing!

First up is the article I had written for our SEO Butler review. It was a post for my niche site Own The Yard titled ‘what do garden snails eat,’ and targeting that key phrase.

Here’s how it’s doing by Ahrefs standards.

It’s ranking #3 for its target keyword and almost on page 1 for the much higher keyword volume ‘what do snails eat.’ A couple of internal links might get it there!

It’s nice to see the post is doing well.

For our review of Content Refined we ordered 2 pieces of content - one for Niche Pursuits and one for Own The Yard.

The post we ordered for Niche Pursuits was targeting the keyword ‘personal website examples.’ Here’s how that one is doing.

This post is also doing quite well, but it needs a bit of a nudge to take it to page one.

It’s ranking in position 17 for the estimated 1.6K volume search ‘personal website examples,’ which isn’t showing as one of the top 5 organic keywords.

And lastly, the post from Content Refined that we published on Own They Yard was targeting the keyword ‘Can squirrels eat chocolate.’

Here’s how that post is doing.

Of course, Own The Yard is well known for its great squirrel content, so it’s no surprise really. :)
