As a product-first company, our Product Marketing team has always had a crucial role at Intercom. ​​Of course, not all companies go about product marketing in the same way, but one common trend is that many product marketing managers (PMMs) feel undervalued. In fact, only 4% of PMMs think other teams in their company fully understand what they do.

Over the years, we have often discussed how we do product marketing at Intercom. Our approach is what we call "full-stack product marketing." Our product marketers are there from start to finish – from the early stages of development to roadmap strategy, launching to market, and beyond.
