Five Great New Podcasts

Welcome to the 127th edition of Find That Pod.

Before we get to the podcasts. BIG NEWS... as a result of the response to our ad spots, I've decided to open up more featured podcast or featured service ad spots in each newsletter. There are now 2 spots available per edition. If you've been wanting to get your podcast or service in front of thousands of podcast afficionados but seen all the spots booked up, now's your chance!

I suspect that the spots will book quickly so book your ad today.

Here are this week's recommendations:

Creative Baggage

This interview-focused podcast is all about the arts. With a heavy focus on music, hosts Bailey Spiteri & Serena Huang take listeners on a journey of exploring creativity through detailed conversations with various artists, musicians, educators and intellectuals.

Filled with fascinating insights and stories about the world of art creation, and the business of how artists, and musicians can make money in today's modern age, it's a podcast definitely worth listening to for anyone with a creative bone in their body. The conversations flow easily and the hosts are quite endearing so it won't take you more than an episode or two to get into the show.

The Immaculate Deception

What happens when you get a mix of women who were desperate to have children suddenly offered the opportunity to see a miracle fertility doctor who promised to, well, work miracles for them? Some real shady shit it turns out. This podcast is about Jan Karbaat, a fertility doctor renowned for getting amazing results where other doctors had previously failed. But once his fertility clinic in Rotterdam closed, questions began to arise. A fascinating story about the consequence of one man deciding to play god.

Under the Hood

Like it or not, the financial firm, and app, Robinhood has helped usher in an era of democratized retail investing. This podcast, run by CEO Vlad Tenev offers interesting insights and interviews with some of the world's leading investors and financial gurus. If you're like me, and continue to be somewhat hopelessly uneducated about retail investing but wouldn't mind learning some more, this might be a good starter podcast for you to sink your teeth into.

Small Town Murder

Murder. It happens in big cities, but small towns too. And it's those small towns that this podcast casts its comedic gaze upon. But the two comedians that host this podcast don't just talk and, frankly, to entertaining and comedic effect, mock the idiots committing these murders, they also paint a fantastic picture of each small town. Funny, well-researched and another unique spin one the true crime genre is just the type of show that tickles my fancy.

Scared To Death

Husband and Wife team Dan Cummins (of Timesuck fame) and Lynze Cummins combine to read stories (often listen submitted) in an attempt to terrify each other. Demonic possession, poltergeists, shadow people,   aliens, and more. If you're a fan of the horror genre, or just like the feeling of getting goosebumps by way of a scary story, this weekly nightmare regime should be right up your alley. A fantastic podcast for fans of spooky and scary tales.
