We all need inspiration from time to time, so let's analyze some of the different strategies when it comes to your ad copies.

1. Aim for the feeling

Focus on your branding message. Choose an emotional/lifestyle image and reinforce the message in your headline. Vouri's ad focus in the example is about 'feeling good.

​2. Everyone loves a deal​
No matter how good the pants above feel, some people will feel even better if they get a deal on a product.
​
So which is better giving a % off or $ off?
​
​

There’s a psychological rule for this (follow at your own risk) ​

For products over $100 it’s better to give a dollar discount
For products under $100 it’s better to give a percentage discount
​

You need to know your product's unique value proposition, and you need others to know it, too.

Notice Purple's ad focusing on how easy the payment options are vs. trying to claim themselves as the most comfortable mattress?

And this is not because their mattresses are not comfortable, but if people can't afford it or set up a payment plan, it doesn't matter how comfortable it is.

4. Utilize emojis (only if it makes sense for your brand)

Don’t overdo it, of course, but adding an emoji to your headline is light, playful. Most ads either use emojis in their description or their headline. Less is more in this case.

Mo' money less problems?
​

That should be Facebook's new slogan, at least a temporary slogan to announce their recent change, helping marketers lower the cost per conversion.

So here's what happened?

On September 14th, Facebook introduced Marketing API v12.0 (along with Graph API v12.0).

1. User Profile API for Instagram

When it came to Instagram messaging, there were only 2 fields supported; Name and URL. To help businesses create more personalized messages, FB has also included the following info:

• Follower count
• Verified Badge
• Business follows User account [Yes/No]
• User account follows Business account [Yes/No]

2. Automatic Expanded Targeting

Whether or not you give permission for your ads, FB will automatically expand targeting for all interest-based ads. And they don't even need to buy you dinner, first.

With the money you save on your cost per click, you will be able to afford to buy yourself dinner.

3. WhatsApp chat from Instagrams

Both your Instagram profile and Instagram ads will soon be able to link to WhatsApp because, why not?

4. Chats, chats everywhere

Whether it's Messenger, Instagram or WhatsApp, FB will now automatically choose the best method of communication that will most likely lead to a conversion based on the user's behavior.

5. Adding Questions on Messenger

We have all become a little more worthy. What was once limited to only a few advertisers will now be available for the rest of us; before a conversation is started, you can profile people by asking them up to 5 questions.

For a person who literally will watch and wait for the phone to stop ringing so I can text you to ask what you were calling about, it seems like we're all moving in the right direction.
