“Impostor syndrome is awesome because it means you're playing at the edge of your definitions, rewriting the boundaries of who you are.

Alice Edy is an artist who straddles two worlds: she makes large scale installations exploring the boundaries between digital text and calligraphic typefaces, and as a graphic recorder she helps corporate clients visualize their strategy. Having a foot in two worlds has made her feel, at times, like an impostor in both. In this beautifully illustrated talk for CreativeMornings/Melbourne, Edy explores how a dare – the place where high stakes and high agency meet – can be an antidote for impostor syndrome. Watch Alice Edy’s talk to learn how to make the leap, even when you might not feel ready.

Our takeaway from the survey: the struggle is real. A pie chart breaks out into: Great - 15%, Pretty good - 22%, Ok - 18%, Struggling a bit - 30%, Not Good - 15%
The good news is that you’re not alone. And maybe, with a little help, we can even laugh about it. Watch Mailchimp’s new animated series All in a Day’s Work about the ups, downs, and sometimes painful truths of life as an entrepreneur or small business owner.
