This was an ad ran in Reader’s Digest in 1966 asking readers to “write in for a free booklet.”

“Writing in for a free booklet” was the “email signup” of the day before the internet!

You would write a physical letter ➡ Send it via Post Office ➡ They would send you the material and collect your name/address to put on their marketing list.

I'm so happy I live in a digital era instead 😬

Thought:

Ray Dalio is a billionaire investor who for the last few years has been putting out great content on how he sees the stock market and big long term trends occur.

His recent video called "Principles for Dealing with the Changing World Order" is magnificent:

The way this man thinks is very rational and admirable, and it's awesome to be able to hear from someone like this how he sees the world playing out in the coming years.

Also here's some fun quotes I've pulled from his book "Principles" (which I listened to on audio book):

Uplifting:

This was a hilarious ad taken out in London in 2022 by a guy named Malik to find him a wife 😂

The billboard was half serious, and half promotion for a dating app.

The ad was pretty funny which definitely got it some attention!

I wonder if he found a wife yet 😂

A few years ago I did a billboard experiment where we bought a billboard for Copywriting Course:

It's difficult to measure the exact amount of exposure you get from a billboard, but sooooo many people called me saying, "I just saw a billboard of your company!"

My buddy Dennis Hegstad saw this awesome QR code made out of hundreds of drones flying over Austin during SXSW:

Apparently you could point your camera at the QR code in the sky and it worked!!

Apparently it would take you to a page about a TV show made out of the video game Halo:

So cool!!

Has anyone made the decision for a house whether to do all smart SWITCHES, or smart BULBS?

You can either replace all switches with smart switches.
-or-
Replace all bulbs with a smart bulbs.

When I bought a house I had this conundrum, but a year later here's the result:

I went 100% smart bulbs!

I've been using all Philips Hue lights and switches and really like it compared to switches.

With smart bulbs you have granular control over lights and you can use these switches (which are magnetic and removable) to control everything:

Going FULL smart bulbs over switches was the right move for my house. It was way more expensive but sooooo much better!
