It’s a simple diagram, but very helpful. This little matrix (and the guide below) will answer some of the most important questions in content marketing:

  • What should I do next with these older articles?
  • How can I get more value from this random, high traffic post?
  • Is it time to update my content strategy?

This is what the performance matrix looks like:

It shows that not only does some content perform better than others. But content can be strong or weak in two different ways: attracting visitors and engaging visitors.

Depending on the performance (or lack of performance) of your content, the next actions vary wildly, from “reconsider your content strategy” to “do nothing.” The guide shares helpful examples to make things clear.
