First look: Buzzsprout, the world’s second largest podcast host, has just formally announced Buzzsprout Ads, letting podcasters buy adverts for their shows (and other podcasters to earn revenue).

Top executives are deserting Clubhouse. Four senior leaders have quit the company in the past two months, as downloads slow dramatically.
Later today, Sony Music Entertainment will announce two new shows for The Binge subscription channel - Witnessed: Friendly Fire and Fringe Network: Alien State. All episodes of both shows, ad-free, have been added to the channel.

The only global statistics produced to the IAB standard, Buzzsprout’s download stats suggest that Apple Podcasts is still growing. Apple had 40.7% of all downloads in May, vs Spotify’s 25.3% (and Google Podcasts’s 2.5%). Separate data from other sources suggest that Spotify reaches more people, though.
Our hosts changes page (we removed the ceased podcasts from there, which confused the graph) shows a large amount of shows switching from Anchor to Megaphone.
