Connecting with consumers on an ~emotional level~
As Mariah Carey once sang, "You've got me feeling emotions"She was probably singing about Raisin Bread tbh. In a world full of distractions and constant ads vying for your attention, one thing that can makes brands outshine the rest... brand intimacy. (keep that pounding heart in your chest!) Tugging at heartstrings will have consumers pulling out their wallets because they trust you, which can clearly drive growth but ALSO retention. If a historically practical brand like Zyrtec can make the pivot, there's hope for the rest of us. Emotion boosts growth better than rational thought - or is it the other way around? Smash that reply button and share your honest opinion with us. 👀 Don't call it a comeback! In our digital world, out-of-home advertising doesn't feel as ~sexy~ as it used to. But, believe it or not (and yes, we were *shook* reading this too!), OOH rose by 40.5% in the first quarter compared to Q1 2021... whoa whoa whoa, what?! OOH placements, like a fine wine, have matured with age and in 2022, they've got a lot more to offer than simply maximizing eyeballs on ye old static billboard. They're now able to drive all sorts of consumer behaviors and serve as a connection point between IRL and online, extending consumer engagement past a singular touchpoint. OOH is giving "I'm a laid back, cool guy" vibe being there when the consumer is ready as opposed to those pesky (read: desparate) digital ads that non-stop stalk you from website to website with ZERO chill. This is probably why they've got a pretty stellar favorability rating among consumers. SMALL BITES Maybe just, don't start a TikTok? Net zero ads!! Liquid cheese has gone too far Instagram REELy said "we take it back" 😂 Personality matters more than achievement, which is what we keep telling our boss Is that Peacock? Doing something right? Failed first dates will henceforth be called "relationship marketing" research Boo tv ad budgets The reports are in!
