3 things you need for organizational speed
I have 4 updates for you this week. 1. On my mind "Faster, better decision-making is essential to speed. Stop making your top people bottlenecks, and empower decisions throughout the organization.
Leadership has to determine which decisions are “strategic” (can be made at the top only) and which decisions are “operational” (most decisions).
3 things you need in place to implement this:
1. Clearly communicated strategy. Everyone needs to know what the company strategy is, and what are the strategic choices/trade-offs the company has made.
2. Organization’s values and purpose. This helps people decide what actions support the purpose and values and what actions do not support them.
3. Tolerance for mistakes that don’t put the business at risk; a slow decision can often be worse than an imperfect one."
-Peep 2. Automation with App Script The Google workspace products revolutionized the way we work, Cloud based computing has come to fruition and Google has engineered their products to allow for extreme customization and flexibility at a cost that's available to anyone worldwide. We'll turn "I wish I could store my bookmarks automatically" or "I want to create a real time stock market due diligence application" into a reality. Apps script is extremely powerful, easy to learn and just plain fun. This course will make the power of apps script available to anyone.
3. Learn what are your audience's top pains and desired gains Wynter just rolled out a new product, B2B customer development surveys. This allows you to survey people in your target audience and learn what they want, how they want it.
What are the top pains they want to solve? What are their desired gains? How do they think about the problems you solve?
Everyone knows they should be doing customer research, but frankly it's a pain to do it. Finding people to survey, getting them to agree, making time for the whole thing, compensating the involved parties, etc.
Wynter takes care of all of this for you, so you can do customer research with a couple of clicks.
4. Over half of businesses don't use customer data to make decisions Are you making decisions based on gut or data? What's your process for getting insights and testing ideas? Find out how you stack up against other businesses that are running experimentation programs in Speero's 2021 Experimentation Benchmark Report.
