1.5 million visitors a month...in the ridesharing niche...

How do you get over 100 links from some of the strongest sites in the world to a single post?

And how do you leverage content and those powerful links to quickly grow a site to nearly 1.5 million visitors a month?

Brett Helling is the owner Ridester.com (“Your Complete Ridesharing and Delivery Resource”), and he can tell you how he did it.

In 2018, he put together a post that now has links from the likes of the New York Times, CNBC, The LA Times, Vice, Vox, Inc.com, The Verge, and all the rest. All up, it has more than 50 links from DR50+ websites alone!

Find out what he did to score these links in the text-based interview here.

Ridester has been a very successful site, going from 250k to 1.5 million unique monthly visitors and becoming a real authority in the niche.

Eventually, Brett realized that he could only write so much content about Ridesharing. So he expanded from that niche by starting another website to provide information about the gig economy as a whole.

That site is GigWorker.com, and Brett discusses how and why he started it, along with his overall philosophy on building authority sites.

I enjoyed reading Brett’s answers to our questions, and I’m sure you will too.

Make sure you check out his content and link building strategies here.

New Opportunities On Motion Invest

We currently have 11 sites listed on Motion Invest, a number of which are NEW listings this week.

One of the newbies is pictured above, and it’s also the cheapest listed on Motion Invest right now. It’s in the musical instruments and accessories niche.

We don’t get too many sites at the $10K price range so if that’s the top end of your budget then it’s worth checking out.

Traffic to this site has grown well over the past 12 months. The ‘7000 average monthly visitors’ listed in the screenshot is a bit deceptive because last month (May) the site actually had just under 14,000 visitors!

You can see all the listings here - create a free account in order to find out the domain names of all the sites for sale, along with all the info you would need to make a buying decision.

For all listings we give you:

  • Proof of traffic from Google Analytics broken down by month for the last 12 months
  • Proof of income through Amazon Associates screenshots and other income streams
  • SemRush data
  • A backlink analysis/repot
  • Site Buddy analysis (helps find Amazon products that are out of stock or unlisted)
  • Q+A with seller

We currently have websites in a range of niches for sale, so check them all out here.

What Are Dutch Auctions?

You will likely have noticed the ‘Dutch Auction’ badge on many of the Motion Invest listings - but do you know what it means?

When you see this badge on our ‘sites for sale’ page or on the listing pages, it means that the site is selling using the Dutch Auction method.

This means that:

  • The site is listed for sale at a particular price - say $10,000
  • Then at a set time (usually every 24 - 48 hours), the site price will drop

Here is an example from the listing page of one of the current listings.

This listing is dropping $1228 every two days until it gets a bid or hits the reserve price.

The details for every Dutch Auction can be a little bit different - the time between decreases can be more or less, and the dollar amount the site is decreasing by can also be more or less.

Each site that is using this sales method has the specifics listed on the page.

Thanks again for reading,

Spencer
