Just how quick can you begin to see a profit on your niche websites?

This question is asked all the time, and Chelsea may just have the record for generating significant revenue in just two months!

Last month we had Chelsea Clarke join us on the blog for a written interview on how she grew her online business to generate anywhere from $25k to $90k per month.

She shared how she vowed not to return to her job when maternity leave was up when she had her first child. Her initial goal was to make $1000 per month, but she hit $1000 in only the second month when she focused on her dream.

Not only has Chelsea started and built up affiliate marketing websites, but she's also done e-commerce, dropshipping, and even a bit of dropservicing (selling digital services but having them fulfilled by others)!

In the podcast, she also talks about flipping websites, SEO strategies, the content formula she used, and how much she sold her site.

Google Penalties for Affiliate Links?

Last week Google posted "A reminder on qualifying links and our link spam update" to their blog.

To summarize it quickly. "Commercial" links need to be annotated correctly.

But what is a commercial link?

We took the discussion to the Niche Pursuits Facebook group and got many great thoughts on the matter.

M Adil provided a screenshot showing that no-follow links were also acceptable.

Michael Herber, another member of the group, also provided a few strategies and some inside insights from a recent YouTube Hangout with John Mueller from Google, which relieved many.
