TODAYS COMMENTARY Get a Cup of Coffee & Enjoy Catching Up! If you aren’t reading this daily you are missing out on a wealth of information that could prevent unforced & unnecessary trading errors.

TRADING TODAY: Another Friday is upon us with a full two days of no trading ahead & a war on. Though a green day is possible, don’t get your hopes up. The market is forward looking & anything can happen in 48 hours!

BUY LIST UPDATE: DOW Inc ($DOW). removed from the BUY LIST for a profit of 11.29% (See Details Below). The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down roughly -5.75% YTD. The S&P is down roughly -8.02% YTD. NASDAQ is down roughly -14.01% YTD. The StockTips BUY LIST, despite all companies profiting well & at a value is down -8.13% (-3.28% if you followed the average down suggestions). While the average realized gain per stock (so far) remains at an average of +13.28% in 40 days. In short, if you copied StockTips trade for trade, you would still be up well above market performance since the start of this newsletter. I got to say, given that the majority of the companies on the BUY LIST are NASDAQ, I’m fairly satisfied with the performance. Particularly when I consider the increased value as a result of the bear market.

TODAYS MARKET OBSERVATIONS:

• Reported Yesterday: Building Permits & Housing Starts. Consensus was 1.85m/1.69m, respectively, & actual numbers came in at 1.859/1.769. Building Permits & Housing Starts have a major impact on homebuilders & building materials (Commodities such as lumber & steel). Honestly I’m impressed. I figured consumers would be priced out of the market by now, however it seems that people are still gunning for mortgages & construction loans in an effort to beat Fed interest rate hikes.

• Reported Today: Existing Home Sales (Sales of previously owned homes) will be reported today at 10:00ET. Consensus is 6.1m. Moreover, Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond President Thomas Barkin will be giving a speech today at 12:30ET, followed by Charles Evans (President of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago) at 14:00ET & Michelle W. Bowman (Governor on the Federal Reserve's Board) at 15:00ET. Most retail traders don’t pay attention to these speeches but big money does! These speeches would be good to review over the weekend as I know you & I don’t have the time to break for 3 speeches in a single day. Nevertheless what they say will affect the markets.

• Oil Rig Count: Something I don’t give too much attention to but probably should in these times is the Baker Hughes Oil Rig Count (Also reported today at 13:00ET. Previous count came in at 527 Rigs & 663 Total Rigs. US Crude Oil Rigs refer to the number of active US rigs drilling for oil in a given week. This report will account for week of 18 March.

DOW INCORPORATED REMOVED FROM THE BUY LIST TODAY & ADDED TO THE STOCK TIPS RECORD: I like $DOW for a long hold but I believe it’s time. I’m not sure to what extent they are affected by their offices & holdings in Russia, but that’s enough uncertainty for me to drop it from the BUY LIST for a 11.29% Profit.
