Is your influencer budget being spent wisely?
Not all influencers are created equalIt may have started with the biggest follower counts on the block, but judging an influencer by their following counts alone isn't smart for the marketing budgets - Influencer/brand alignment is key for success. Creators are wanting more control over the content since they know their audience craves authenticity. Breaking that trust could be detrimental to their community. Instead of looking for the highest follower counts, brands need to be considering influencers that *actually* align with their brand values so there's an authentic balance between brand messaging and meaning in the promotional content, along with the usual engagement metrics to consider. Using tools to identify and partner with nano & micro influencers who have authenticity on lock has increasingly shown better ROI (and costs a lot less). GenZ isn't the only generation demanding inclusivityDove is at it again with their #KeepTheGrey social campaign fighting against ageism and sexism in the workplace and as always, they CRUSH. Dove has always been on the front line of inclusivity, starting with their Real Beauty campaign. The #KeepTheGrey campaign fits easily into what Dove stands for, with a messaging that clearly resonates with their consumers. As with other campaigns, social sentiment is key 🔑 - TV journalist Lisa LaFlamme announced on Twitter that she was unexpectedly let go from her role, implying it was because she started to wear her hair naturally grey. Dove stepped into the conversation, "we wanted to make sure that we could harness that energy and use the conversation for good."
