Podcasts Are Becoming Mainstream | Marketing Junto

My Take

I've been a podcast listener since 2005. Back then many people had no idea how to listen to them. In the early 2010s, podcasts started to become more popular with broadcasters putting their shows out as podcasts. As more and more people started listening to podcasts, more people started making them. Services like Anchor.fm, now owned by Spotify, made it easy to start a podcast without having the financial overhead.

Now in 2022, podcasts are taking off, everyone seems to have at least dabbled in the podcasting arena and many digital marketing firms, including Goldstein Media, are helping companies develop their own podcasts.

As someone who has been making podcasts since about 2012, I'm thrilled to see the medium take off. The more the merrier. Currently Digital Marketing Dive is on hiatus until 2023, but Entrepreneur's Enigma is going strong. Check it out at EntrepreneursEnigma.com.
