💸 Can you make 225% cash on cash return from a PC Blog?
Nano Thought Recently Ive been thinking a lot about how entrepreneurship isnt for everyone. But that for the right person, its totally life changing. Don't forget that while a job can be the best way to freedom for some, there is truly a cap on how much you can make.
Build or buy something if you believe it's for you. On another note people keep asking me what we think about content sites and AI and search! What ill say is moving forward for simple content sites you really should be increasing the quality of content and look for sites that you can build newsletters and communities around. P.S. Keep your eyes open for a special edition later this week with an amazing FBA brand. This Week’s Opportunities Flippa Content Site Listing Here is a breakdown of a site from Flippa. The listing can be seen here Site Summary: PC Building Lab is an affiliate content site in the technology niche. More specifically, this site focuses on PC building & PC parts. Affiliate commissions and display advertisements monetize this site. Let’s dive into the details of this deal! First off I want to highlight how sketchy and weak this sites backlinks are, Ahrefs gives us a good look. Ok now that we got that out of the way, for the right person, this site could be a win for their portfolio. I would be weary of its weak link profile though.
Ok Y'all! things we do like:
A new owner could:
I would shrink the hero image so that it does not take up 90% of the above-the-fold space. The text should also be added to the homepage to send clear signals to Google that define the website's purpose.
Amazon is great but is often the lowest-paying affiliate program. Experiment with other affiliate networks & private affiliate deals to get a high commission per sale.
Add comparison tables under the introduction of best-of lists should improve revenue by ~20%. Many people do not read the full post and just want to be told what the best product is!
A new owner should build relevant backlinks to the homepage; write informational content & internal link-related articles; create social media profiles for authors.
Creating a YouTube channel to review specific PC components can drive considerable traffic & revenue. Embedding YouTube videos on your blogs can also improve their organic rankings! Final Thoughts: Overall, this site is in a great niche with lots of long-tail keywords to target. The content seems to be great & is written by subject matter experts. Although the PC niche is competitive, focusing on a specific type of PC component (i.e. “best motherboard cpu combination”) can be lucrative! A new owner should immediately insert affiliate comparison tables on all “Best-of X” style posts to boost affiliate revenue ~20%. Creating more money pages targeting low-competition keywords can bring an extra ~$200/mo. At current traffic levels, Implementing display ads on informational posts can also bring another ~$80/mo. However, the backlink profile introduces considerable risk to this website. The overall lack of links pointing to the homepage is not natural and introduces a significant risk of being impacted by a future Google update. A new owner should focus on immediately building links to the homepage to create a more well-rounded & natural backlink profile. Its currently bid at $10k as I write this. This is quite high and very much based on its recent months revenue. We wouldnt recommend going higher than this. If rev stayed at $375 (lowest in last 3 months) and you could add another $250 a month with new content and ads, this site would be making $625 a month and be worth $22,500. That would be a 225% cash on cash return if those numbers held up and you paid $10k for the site. Id say you should budget to use all the profits over the next few months to improve the site. It needs stronger links and more content ASAP. As always...do your own due diligence, the above is based off of what we see as an opportunity from the info provided in the listing and some light due diligence, not a deep dive. It just one of many scenarios that could play out and its up to you to do your own due diligence and see if this makes sense for you! A while back I was on my friend Stephen Olmon's podcast!
