Why not switching from usual ads to converting your audience into email subscribers in exchange for rewards?

What are you willing to see more in banner ads?
1. Sales pitches.
2. Brands offer rewards (e.g., products, gift cards, services, etc…).

It's obvious.

Another question. As an entrepreneur, what do you want more:
1. Pay per click, per reengaging of your audience.
2. Pay once for converting your audience into email subscribers in exchange for rewards. And then send them emails with engaging valuable content + sales pitches (from time to time) for free forever?

It's obvious too.
