My top performing page will soon "Fly" away​

My top page on OTY for July for the number of page views and page time was a how-to style post on "How to Get Rid of Flies on Patio".

Take a look at how this page progressed. The post was actually published in June 2020. For an entire year, the post essentially got zero traffic.

Then in April 2021, I updated the post. This is when things started to get hot.

The post significantly started gaining more traffic. For reference, I did zero backlinking on this page.

But at the same time, the weather started getting warmer, meaning more flies, which meant more people are searching for how to get rid of them.

A lot of OTY content is seasonal, but this one really took off this summer.

What do you think caused this post to go from zero to hero? Did the post just need time to get indexed and no one was searching how to get rid of flies during the winter months? Or did my updated post content give it the nudge it needed?

My gut tells me it's a little of both. What do you think?
