Amazon Top 10 Movers

Hey Reader,

It’s Friday! Let’s start your morning off by giving you an edge in the industry; here are the top 10 most searched keywords on Amazon. This data was taken from Amazon between August 8th to August 21st, so it’s still fairly recent and relevant!

The Chaos in Afghanistan has reached Amazon

Taking our number one spot in this week’s top movers is the keyword Afghanistan. Since Afghanistan has been taken over by the hands of the Taliban on the 15th of August, international reactions have yet to subside. Seeing the desperation of thousands of civilians trying to escape the country has definitely been disturbing, but there is still more yet to come.

Amazon’s #1 Best Seller badge in the books category is currently held by The Afghanistan Papers: A Secret History of the War by Craig Whitlock, where he reveals hundreds of secret interviews with U.S. officials candidly discussing the failures of the war. The book has already been selling 732 units per day in the last few days.

Wanna be the very best on Amazon?

Amazon’s #1 Best Seller badge is more than just about bragging rights—it can help you research products, predict sales performance, and get a leg up on the competition.

Uncover what the Amazon Best Sellers Rank is about, how it’s calculated, and how it can help your business in our latest article: Amazon Best Sellers Rank: What Sellers Need To Know.

The Keyword Under the Microscope

Perhaps one of the most difficult things about selling on Amazon is choosing the perfect niche and the perfect product. However, one advantage is that you can build a brand around a very simple product like “peeps eyeglass cleaner". This handy tool helps to keep eyeglasses lenses clean in the era of the masks — if you’ve ever had to wear glasses while wearing a mask, you’ll know how annoying the fog on your lenses can be. This product has gone from selling 159 units per day to 1,959 units per day in the past few days!

From the TV screen to Amazon

Hulu has recently released three episodes of the TV series Nine Perfect Strangers, which is based on the Liane Moriarty novel of the same name. The series has quickly garnered the audience’s attention, leaving viewers clamouring for more after each episode. Although viewers will have to wait from week to week for the remainder of the episodes, many have chosen to buy the book on Amazon, causing a brutal increase in sales, selling from 139 units per day to 610 units per day in the last few days.

We’re still trying to find out why the keyword “electric razors for men cordless rechargeable” is among the top biggest movers. Surprise us with your ideas and reply to this email.

Happy selling,
Helena
