Founded in 2015, revenue intelligence startup Gong is now valued at $7.25 billion. They’ve grown to attract big-name clients like LinkedIn, PayPal, and Shopify, mostly through social media channels rather than organic search. Hello.
I'm Neil Patel.
Have you ever wondered why I write my blog with short sentences with double line spaces?
Yes I know you've wondered that.
It's fucking difficult to read my posts, aren't them?
That's because I'm unable to write long sentences.
And also this way you …
I just saw the joke thread on Neil.
I assumed he's a good source to learn from (I enjoy his data-backed observatuons when he gives them) but it seems this isn't the case?
As someone with just about a year in digital marketing, and who is interested in SEO and …
So, a bit about me: I’ve graduated with a marketing degree last year, did 2 internships in marketing before uni, worked in one sales and one marketing position during summer breaks (so have experience in marketing since 2018) and am a person with untreated ADHD, 24 years of age, but …

99% of meetings are a waste of time.
Here’s a framework I learned to make sure your meetings stay efficient:
POST
Purpose
Outcome
Structure
Timing
Outline POST in every calendar invite and your meetings will shrink from 60 min to 25 min, or 30 min to 12 min.
Understanding customer pain is not the same thing as understanding how a buyer makes a purchase decision.
The secret sauce is being nice to people.
If you think hiring an experienced marketer is expensive…
Just wait and see how much it costs to hire an amateur
My best productivity advice is to block half an hour everyday to do nothing but think because there’s nothing more unproductive than moving fast in the wrong direction.
New to copywriting?
Use the Problem - Agitate - Solution framework.
1) Address a main problem your prospects have
2) Agitate it with a short statement
3) Present your product as the ideal solution
Works like a charm.

YouTube doesn't allow to make changes to your video once uploaded...
But it DOES allow to change the thumbnail as many times as you want.
Which @samsgoh has been quite hilariously exploiting for his "Holiday SEO" video 😆

[THREAD]🧵👇
Good news: successfully claimed my Google search panel.
Bad news: I cannot "give feedback" on the wrong-for-the-past-8-years description of myself.
In some ways, I like it this way. Great example of how fallible, incorrect, and difficult-to-change Google's data is.
I dunno what happened over the last year but all of a sudden I'm *really good* at doing nothing. Sit on the couch and do fuck all despite piles of laundry and a never-ending to do list? Yes please.
My Twitter feed has become extremely boring.
Lots of tech fam nonstop talking about NFTs, DTC, XYZ ETC… and any engagement I give it results in text messages about it.
Love y’all but I’m awakening from the madness of comparative success. I hope to see you on the other side.
Just going to throw this out there:
Never ever, not once, has reading about a Google patent helped me do anything in my job, ever. It was always, and still is, a waste of time.
Snippet bait, as a concept, that on the other hand... that was pretty darn useful.
I’ve had my tip jar open for 24 hours now and haven’t been venmoed even $1 yet.
You should probably test it out to make sure it isn’t a bug. I’ll report to @Twitter if it is.
There are SaaS companies with mediocre marketing, completely undifferentiated me-too product... yet have managed to get to a significant size, making a ton of money.
Without fail, they're all in large markets with huge demand, e.g marketing automation.
Go where the money is.
Time budgeting can be brutal.
We spend 8h working (let’s just pretend it’s all productive for a moment).
We (should) sleep 8h.
Leaves 8h for other activities. Right!
Wrong!
I am *dying* at today’s squirrel hack of @barkbox’s social accounts. Spit-take at their Twitter bio 😂😂😂
"How long should my podcast episodes be?"
Seven. Can we just say seven and stop asking this question? Please? Forever?
It's seven. Or 42. or Pizza. Just randomly reach out for any number or even word, and then stop thinking about this question for the rest of time.
Get a life. All of us.

Okay ... so ... TV shows for marketers?
* White collar
* Leverage
* The Mentalist
* Elementary
* Lie to me
* Burn notice
(And yes - I think it interesting that the shows that look at psychology and behaviours seem to revolve around crime :D)
What else?

@Natalie_Furn just a couple of small typos I spotted on your team page. It’s HubSpot and ActiveCampaign.
The “Hand it off” campaign by @turbotax is an example of a well constructed marketing mix.
Perfect timing w/ pre-tax season. I’ve seen a handful of commercials & was even served a paid ad just this evening. 👏🏼
