How can some people write so beautifully?
1/ Two of my favorite writing techniques:
Compelling read (via @tferriss 5-bullet friday) on how influencers become brainwashed by their audiences.
e.g. "Nicholas Perry when he first started making mukbang videos. Bottom: Perry transformed by his audience’s desires into Nikocado".

Cold emails can change your life.
But most of them are horrible.
15 tactics to nail your cold emails:
I’d rather have cookies track me forever than have to accept/deny cookies Every. Single. Time. I. Visit. A. Website.
First time founders struggle to accept the fact that marketing their product is often more important than the product itself.
Copywriting Hack:
Use anchoring in your copy.
Instead of saying: “This product is $97”.
Say: “This product is well worth over $397, but you can get it for only $97 today (that’s a $300 difference)”.
Perceived value goes up & perceived cost goes down → The # of sales goes up.

Don't overlook branded queries, they're part of your customer's search journey and well leveraged by aggregators/comparisons sites!
Target queries like: "brand" + reviews/comparisons/vs/alternatives/app
These are users already researching your brand before converting 👇

To improve your conversion rate, your above-the-fold needs to earn the scroll.
Because without earning the scroll, you won’t earn the sale.
Here’s the structure of an effective above-the-fold:

^ they seem like one of the latest hot trends in SEO.
But I honestly don't get what all the hype is about. 🙂
One of the greatest mistakes made by brands on social media: They’re all about ME ME ME.
When building an audience, you have to give, give, give, give and give some more BEFORE asking for anything.
My wife sent me a link to start planning our vacation, google doc? NOPE - Qualtrics survey with embedded logic based on previous answers.
Yes we love data in this house.
We’ve become so focused on being visible, we’ve forgotten the job is to be memorable.
Some people seem more obsessed with productivity tools and techniques than sitting down and doing something that matters.
Creators who master their craft AND go on to master copywriting...

It's easy to be anti-meeting. It's hard to do thorough async reporting/updates (that also get read and debated by the group) that'd replace meetings.
I'm very pro-async, but it's hard to do right as it's easy to skip, ignore or simply do a quick glance-over.
